Event Setup

(ages 10+)

3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Help us transform the venue into a roller derby track! Setup volunteers may help arrange tables and chairs, put up signs and decorations, set up merchandise and ticket areas, prepare the track and spectator areas, and assist with other pre-event tasks.

Great for: Volunteers who don't mind some lifting, moving, and being on their feet.

Brochure & Freebie Handouts

(ages 10+)

5:00 PM – 6:30 PM

Be one of the first friendly faces our guests see! Hand out event programs, brochures, promotional items, or freebies as fans arrive and help point guests in the right direction when needed.

Great for: Friendly, outgoing volunteers who enjoy interacting with people.

Ticket Booth

(ages 17+)

5:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Help guests purchase admission at the door. Volunteers assist with ticket sales, answer basic admission questions, and help keep the entrance line moving smoothly.

Great for: Volunteers who are comfortable working with the public and handling simple transactions.

Merchandise Booth

(ages 17+)

5:00 PM – 9:30 PM

Help fans take a little derby home with them! Merchandise volunteers assist customers, organize and restock merchandise, help with purchases, and keep the booth looking great throughout the event.

Great for: Friendly, organized volunteers who enjoy customer service.

 

Event & Crowd Assistance

(ages 17+)

5:00 PM – 9:30 PM

Help keep the event running smoothly by assisting guests, answering questions, directing spectators, monitoring designated areas, and helping event staff wherever an extra set of hands is needed.

Great for: Dependable volunteers who are comfortable talking to people and moving around the venue.

 

Ticket Scanners

(ages 10+)

5:00 PM – 7:30 PM

Welcome fans and scan pre-purchased tickets as they enter the venue. You'll help keep the entrance organized and get everyone through the doors and into the action as quickly as possible.

Great for: Friendly volunteers who are comfortable using a phone or scanning device.

 

Guest Check-In

(ages 10+)

3:30 PM – 5:00 PM

Help check in visiting skaters, officials, volunteers, vendors, and other event participants before doors open. You'll help confirm arrivals and direct guests to the appropriate areas.

Great for: Organized volunteers who enjoy greeting people and keeping things on track.

 

Will Call Booth

(ages 10+)

5:00 PM – 7:30 PM

Help guests who have tickets, passes, or other items waiting for them at Will Call. Volunteers locate names on provided lists, confirm guest information, and help get everyone inside quickly.

Great for: Organized, detail-oriented volunteers who are comfortable interacting with the public.

 

Halftime Games & Activities

(ages 10+)

Approximately 7:30 PM – 8:00 PM

Help bring the fun to halftime! Volunteers assist with setting up and running audience games or activities, selecting or organizing participants, handing out prizes, and quickly clearing the track when halftime is over.

Great for: Energetic, outgoing volunteers who aren't afraid to have a little fun!

 

Charity Collection Table

(ages 17+)

5:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Each event gives us an opportunity to support our community. Volunteers at the charity table help share information about the featured organization, encourage donations or participation, and assist with any special collection taking place that evening.

Great for: Friendly volunteers who enjoy community outreach and talking with guests.

 

Track Repair Crew

(ages 18+)

6:00 PM – 9:30 PM

Roller derby can be tough on a track! Track repair volunteers help monitor the track boundaries throughout the event and quickly repair or replace tape when needed to keep the playing surface safe and game-ready.

Great for: Attentive volunteers who don't mind being close to the action.

 

Event Tear Down

(ages 10+)

9:30 PM – 10:30 PM

Help us put everything away after the final whistle! Tear-down volunteers assist with breaking down tables, chairs, signs, track materials, merchandise areas, decorations, and other event equipment so we can leave the venue clean and organized.

Great for: Volunteers who don't mind some lifting, moving, and end-of-night cleanup.
